For the first semester of my graduation year, I had the great opportunity to work with Persona3D on their new approach to create immersive interactive music experiences. I got the chance to work with professionals from a variety of backgrounds, developing new skills in relation to VR experiences, music & interactivity and how I can apply myself in a new environment to create a unique product. 

My main responsibilities revolved around solving core design, flow and interactivity related issues, and to develop a flexible technical VR design toolkit to be used in the company’s upcoming projects.

I joined the technical design team at Guerrilla Games as part of my final graduation internship, working on the recently announced Horizon Hunters Gathering. After finishing my studies, I was hired as a freelance technical designer, taking the first steps of my professional career.

In my role as a technical game designer, I am responsible for several character-focused features and systems, assisting and enabling the designers to bring their ideas to fruition, as well as upkeeping the backend of our systems to ensure scalibility and flexibility. I am directly collaborating with collegues from various teams across design, code, animation, VFX and more.

About Me

Since I’ve been young, games and play have been part of who I am. Once the world of video games was opened to me I could not let go. Ultimately, this lead me to pursue the International Game Architecture & Design study at Breda University of Applied Sciences, developing core skills and broadening my horizon in what it means to be a game designer.

I am now taking the first steps in my professional career, always keeping the following principles close to my heart: simplicity in design and always being player focused.
